Common plecos question

i have 2 plecos in my tank, they were my first fish and there now about 4or 5 inch's

now a question i have

1 has a face is like square and the other is rounded is this normal or male and female?

its kinda hard to visualise i know but its always puzzled me. there both healthy and move about all the time so this is just a general question

There's been a few posts of "deformed" heads on Plecos. As far as Common plecos go, the male/female have the same head-shape, only the external sexual organ is slightly different [I can't remember which has a the rounded and which has the pointed one, it's in the FAQ tho' (under Help! in the menu, top right of the screen)].

Not that it really matters if you have two males, a male and a female or two females, as they are unlikely to breed in captivity unless you have a big pond with mud walls/bottom to dig caves in.
