It's plastic, so no harm done if there is water (believe me, I tried).

They are tolerant of a wide range of conditions, however I suspect they may secrete toxins as a defensive measure against biological organisms.

One such machine dispenses capsules with fish figurines that includes, among others, one of Hypancistrus zebra. I know where the machine is, but I have yet to go down to try my luck (my wife thinks that to do so is utterly puerile).

Did check on eBay; unfortunately I forgot the "company" that was selling these guys, as well as a ton of terrestrial animals. Would you happen to know it, or better search criteria other than "toy plastic catfish" which, for some reason, turned up some professional sports player toys?
