I plan on getting a Spotted Shovelnose Catfish, Hemisorubim platyrhynchos from a lfs. It is approx 7.5", for $79.99 CDN.
Is this a good price?
My second question is would this fish be fine with my lima shovelnoses, which are 6.5" and 5.5". THese are the only fish that i feel might be eaten.

Also would I be able to house these fish with African pike eventually?

If the fish is worth it for you it's always a good price. When seen overhere - rarely these days - they do about 60 euros (= approx. 75 USD).

Hepsetus odoe?? I wouldn't dare saying anything about that. The combination works however with Acestorhynchus spp., which are South-American pikes.
