Just wondering what I can keep as nice colorful swimming fish with my Siamese Cats. I was thiking more on the lines of asian fishes. Any ideas?

I know that Tiger Barbs are completely crazy fish but is it possible? Zebra Danios maybe? Dwarf Gouramis? Please let me know. Thanks.

Regards,
Mike D.

Siamese Cats looooooooooove fish!
but they really hate to swim, though.

I'll take it you're talking about the Asian Bumblebee Catfish?

then any barb or danio that's too big to get eaten is just fine. best go with any fish that's over 1/3rd of the length of an adult Pseudomystus and if you want to keep them small, say 1/3rd of the cats, get highbuild fish (Barbus spp); if you want to get bigger barbs then Danio's (Devario or Danio spp) are also very suitable. Another possibility are the larger Rasbora species like Rasbora trilineata.

tiny fishes like the Zebra Danio (Brachydanio rerio), Cherry Barbs (B titteya) etc are likely to get eaten by adult Pseudomystus. these cats are cunning hunters and a slimbuilt 1.5" fish resting near the surface at night is a sitting duck.

I learned that the hard way almost 30 years ago as a kid. my very first larger catfish (non-Cory) was a P siamensis and it devoured many Zebra Danio's, Platy's, Neons and the like until I discovered that the tiny 2" orange banded cuty had grown into a dark 6" brownish monster that never showed up except at night to snack on the rest of the tank.

How about some puntius dennisonii?
see pic here
However; saying this, what are the dimensions of your aquarium? P dennisonii requires a large type aquarium. So in order to help you with selecting tank mates, it would be advantageous to know what size of aquarium you would be housing them in.
