long- and short-snout species pairs?

Does anyone know of any sources of info on long- and short-snout species pairs of Corys? I am particularly interested in which species are 'pairs' and how these come about. I recall having read something about this in one of the aquarium magazines about ten years ago but cannot put my finger on what I read.

Apologies if I missed this in the archives.

Thanks!

You may be thinking of the softcover book, Aqualog Mini :My Corydoras. I don't have it to hand now, but it does mention similar species with long, short and saddle noses. From memory it particularly mentions Arcuatus and Narcissus as examples. Hope this helps.

I wrote a piece for "Today's Fishkeeper" magazine called "the Long and the Short", it was published in the middle of 2006, which dealt with the subject of similar coloured species having short and long snouts. A version of the same article is published in the members area of my site Corydoras world.
