C65 spawning

Hello,

tomorrow morning, when feeding..there was something different in that tank...putting my glases on..the C65 had spawned...or are still going on...

Some eggs where at the tank walls, 3 on a Sagittaria pulsilla leave...and about 20 at the rear wall...layed in the coarse foam of the Hamburg-Mat-Filter...all about 1 or 2cm above bouttom...

And nice to see...as beginning to fungus...

Just recovered about 5 or so...and will look if there are a few more comming home after work.
Added some Methylen-blue.

They did not use the mop...

Is this typical ?...laying the eggs so "deep" shortly abouve the buttom ?
It's below a Javamoss covering the back wall and foam...

And what about the season ?...something untypical for most corys....

It's their first spawn...so there might bee a little loss due to the age of these youngsters...(got them in Sept'06 form Hans Evers...probaly 4 (?) month old...

What to do ? Heavy feeding for going on spawning or doing a summer-break ?

Nice Joern :)

C-65 is a nice species to get more of in the hobby. I am hpoing to get some myself in the autumn from a guy in Norway.

I've experienced similar low egg-depositing with my atropersonatus.
