Hi I'm new to this forum and to keeping catfish. I mostly breed and keep bettas so I know practically nothing about cories but recently I got four albino aeneus ones because people on my betta forums said that they work great in the spawn tank and after watching them a while, I got sorta interested and now I want to spawn them. I was told by a friend on the betta forum that betta fry and cory fry work great together in the same spawn tank because they grow at the same rate and bcause betta fry only eat a certain type of food if every other fry is eating it and cory fry gobble anything that fits in their mouths so they set an example for betta fry. My questions are:
How old does an aeneus albino cory have to be to spawn? How long should it be? Are females larger? How many months from eggs to maturity and ability to spawn? Thanks guys I like forward to getting to know all of you. :D

Hi,
A useful article by Ian Fuller for you to understand more about Corydoras.

I would read that article but it requires that I'm a member and I'm not about to pay just to join.

You don't have to pay to read that article, its just a link to an article on the Scotcat site which is free to view.

There is also an article on breeding within this site in Shane's World that you could read as well - http://www.planetcatfish.com/shanesworl ... cle_id=312
