This is not my fish, I'm just curious what you guys think. Apparently it was sold as "Synodontis valentina".

Yep, same cultivar.

Although this isn't a "parrot" version, I still think the last person in the linked thread said it best:

"What on earth are those czechs up to?!"

Why are they flooding the market with hybrids? I just don't get it.

Because they can, and people are willing to pay (good) money for these fish, as they look rather nice, and nice looking Synos are generally quite expensive when "genuine". [Nice looking is subject to opinion of course].
