I'm looking for the most active catfishes that are suitable for a 75g community. One big preference I would like is color or pattern or both. A black or brown catfish will appear dull in my tank, lets liven up my tank with some color! No pleco's please

A shoal of perhaps.

Or perhaps one of the larger species of perhaps?

A large shoal of looks quite nice too!

As it appears that you are not particularly looking for a south american species, I have moved this subject to the more appropriate "Speak Easy".

Hi there sorry i wasnt clear on what i'm looking for. I need a catfish suitable for predatory tankmates, such as siamese tiger fish and bichirs. For size, i'm looking for anything around 12" adult length. thanks!

Hmmmm, active & colour/pattern in catfish is not prevalent, particularly in the size category to keep with predatory tamkmates

I initially thought of a small shoal of brachysynodontis batensoda but their silvery brown colouration maybe a little drab for you

I then thought of Pimelodus ornatus or Blochii, & then considered Aguarunichthys torosus or Tocantinsesis

They all could be considered but careful research would be required as a 75g tank is limited to how many predators can comfortably be contained & still maintain harmony
