Hey all.
I've been seeing a lot of nice macros lately, so I decided to upload a pic of my baby Panaque nigrolineatus.

I have only one question... how long does it take them to grow? I hear that they are very slow growers, but how slow is it?

He is beautyfull
Royal Panaque grow only about 2,5cm per year and maybe a little more if you do water changes very frequently and offer them rotten wood often...

He has plenty of wood to munch on. He's in a 20H right now to grow out a little bit. When he's bigger I will move him to my 55 where he'll have as much wood as he'd ever want.

It's not the best pic of my tank, but it shows the general set-up. The huge rock in the top right-hand corner is the only thing holding that piece of wood down. It's kinda cool

!!!
Thanx for the reply

At that size you will notice good growth, but as Kostas says, 1" a year average if you look after his water.
