A local dealer has 6 young L91s. 5 of 6 have the standard orange markings at the front of each top fin. The 6th ones top fins are completly covered w orange; kind of a camoflage pattern. Is this some type of juvenile coloring that will eventually dissipate to match the others or might this be one of the Tiger or Dragon patterned types? all of the fish are the same size, approx. 4"

I live in NYC and visit a lot of the LFS here, but have never seen the "NYC morphs" you refer to.

Went back to the lfs that had the L91 tiger morph today. All 5 of its tankmates were gone, but it was still there, so I got it. Very active, very outgoing. Already eating shrimp & carnivore pellets, has chewed the rind off of a piece of zucinni & tried to steal the 12" common pleco's algae tab. It didn't get it, but did get shoved half way across the tank by the big boy. Sulked for a minute or 2 then went off and found its own. We're practicing w/ the photo stik in our camcorder & will try topost a pic. soon.
