hey guys, i have a couple questions about Brachyrhamdia Meesi before i buy a couple from my LFS :D

1) do they have a common name i could call them?
2) do they appreciate the company of their own kind?
3)do they have a favorite food if i happen to get them i want to give them the best food i can find

if i think of more questions i will ask

thanx for any help in advance

wow, thanx for the article, i seen that article on google but with google i never know which ones to trust, i trust u guys much more. so i pretty much got that they dont like their own kind all that much, pretty territorial. ok, so i will only get one, if i indeed do pick one up from him.

I used to have two - and later 1

However, later I found other Brachyrhamdias, which are a lot more social. I don't think they are B imitator, but more related. They also remain small - 8 cm

I had 3 b.imitator which got on fine in a very small tank but 3 b.marthae were constantly having a go at each other in a 36" tank.

I have not kept meesi at home.

I have seen them labelled mees' pim & all have really fed well on frozen & live bloodworm, brineshrimp etc
