Can't get to My Cats page...

Ok, I go from core to lookup a new catfish I've purchased. I find the cat. I click on 'add this species' to my list.then it says:
Species associated with
(note from liz: my name isn't above like it usually is, it's just blank)
New species added. You can now return to the species page or view/edit your updated My Cats page.
View lizimal profile.
Go back to species page.
Then when I click on either view/edit or view lizimal profile, it gives me a 404 error and returns me to the home page.
That's the problem in a nutshell
