Dave,
Looks like Pterodoras granulosis. Grows quite big as you know. I have one now. They are very active fish. In nature they are pelagic, mine is constantly swiming around the tank.

Not Dave here but I think those are the cats I saw at Amazonia this weekend here in Austin.

Wow I almost bought some whew impulse shopping for the lose but still don't they grow real slow or am I confused?
