Messages staying in outbox

I have messages stuck in my outbox that haven't left for over 8 hrs. Any ideas?

The messages get moved to your sent box only when the user you sent them to logs in and receives them...Being still there means the user has still to log in...

Got it thought it was like my cell phone where it means it's out in limbo. I wish all technology would work the same darn it.
