another new member here

Hello all. I am here because my son told me about this place. It's been many years since I had anything to do with fish. He keeps trying to draw me back into it. My hubby and I were once very involved in the fish hobby and pet industry. When we found a newly imported, rare fish, that was rough, I usually bought it just to try to save it's life. Sometimes I even bought dead fish. Most of the time, I was successful at saving them and if I wasn't I pickled the dang thing. Now I have the most wonderful collection of dead fish. LOL
I guess, I just had the special ability to keep the fish alive by using allot of air,do warm, well aged, water changes, and antibiotics and salt, my favorite thing.
I don't know what I am doing here except I am interested in what this forum is all about. Not sure if I will just lurk a while or get involved here. I am sure the hubby and son would love me to get involved since I always seemed to be the glue that held all the family interests.
Oh and I am at the end of my 57 year and live in Pa. We are gearing up to retirement at this stage of our lives. I am a great plant and animal lover and love life. Barb
