Dear People,

1 year ago I had a large group op Corydoras Orangestripe, greenstripe and goldstrip (+/- 60 pcs)
after 4 months they start to die suddenly....

They did eat good, the look healthy but they start to behave different, they did swim like there where dronk....not particullary up and down to the surface, but across the tank in any direction.

The room where s the tank is non smoke, no parfum makers or so
WATER
Ph 7
Kh 3
Gh 5
Microsiemens 250
Temp. 27 celsius
Waterchange 35% per week
No2, No3 extremly low
The water condition is very good here

I couldn't find anything on the net so I couldn't start anyu treatment (agains what ?) and after a while I lost them all :(

Now recently a friend of mine start to experience the same....one difference, no other behavier, no weird swiming across the tank, they just die suddenly one by one
In his case it is about the adolfoi en boa vista sp, 10 of each

Is there anything we mis to see, is there any kind of sickness what is particularry attacking corrydoras
For the cory's then it is to late, but I am building up new groups (have now 32 C. simmilis and 150 young sterbai) and I wish never to experience such a loss again

Ik hope to find out and learn why and what happend and how I can treat this problem.

Thank you all
Jeroen

This many all together would be an impressive sight in a display
How large of a tank are you trying to keep this many fish in?

Hello birger,

This was in a tank of 100cm x 60xcm x 55cm
Indeed it was impressive, unfortunally I lost them all :(

Assuming there were no other fishes, I'd say it ought to be possible

Still a pity
