Hi to everyone. Decided to join the forum. Quite new to fishkeeping about a year, it was plecs that made my mind up to do this. At the moment i have to tanks one 100ltr and a 250ltr just waiting for the 250ltr to be fully cycled and will be closing down the 100ltr. At the moment i have 3 L134's a shy but great plec. My first question i want to get a blue phantom there is one in my l.f.s for £70 is this expensive.

Sounds a bit pricey to me, but this is not the sort of thing i'm up-to-date with.

Price of "blue phantom" will depend on it's size. I have seen £70 fish in one of my local branches of Maidenhead Aquatics, and they are fairly mature fish, around 150 mm SL (estimated). At that size, the price is certainly not ridiculous. Smaller fish are often a lot less expensive, since it's possible to ship more of them for the same amount of money - shipping cost is makes up a large part of the costs for wildcaught fish, and I guarantee that these are not tank-bred.

I don't know if they were L200 or L128? Green/Blue phantoms, but out on my travels today i have seen 3" fish for £19.99 & 4.5" fish for £39.99

The L128 i saw here was $60.00.

I should perhaps point out that "prices change depending on your location too". A fish that is expensive in one place may not be particularly dear in another. It's the laws of "supply and demand" combined with the capability of fooling customers to think the fish is worth what they are paying for it.
