Hi everyone,

I've got a small tank(about 7 gallons) that I was planning on setting up as a planted tank for otos. What plants would be recommended and how many otos is that tank suitable for?

thanks in advance,

Andy

Andy,
Just about anything. Plan the tank around the plants and then the Otos will do fine. How much light will you have? If it is a low light tank you can use Anubias or Crypts. Not natural to the Otos, but they do not seem to care. This could be a good spawning experimant.

Yeah, seems amano uses otos in almost all his tanks... ;) a much cuter alternative to his algae eating shrimp.

I don't have a good light source at the moment as I have to make do with an ordinary desklamp but I should be getting ahold of a lighting ramp that'll fit on Wednesday. It shouldn't be too difficult to get a decent amount of light from that.
Thanks for the tips, I'd love to get ahold of some amano books but they seem to be in short supply where I live.
