I've been contemplating starting up another tank sometime in the future and perhaps breeding Cory's. I'm just curious as to how I would go about setting up a tank for this purpose, and roughly what size tank I should get? Now, i'm not looking to start up some big time operation, just something to do on the side as a hobby, and since I just love watching those little Corydora's I figured i'd probably give mating them a try, provided it wasn't a huge process to go through.


Any feedback you folks have would be great. Thanks.

Figure out what species you like...or what choices you have available to you and come back with any specific questions you may have

Follow Birger's advice to get the basics down then review the species profiles of those that interest you.

IMO, Corydoras sterbai have become the easiest of the pretty Corydoras species for a first time project. They have been tank raised long enough that they have become very easy to breed.
My buddy just scrapes their eggs of the sides of his community tank with a single edge razor blade and is able to raise more than he needs.
If you want enough to resell or trade, then set up a special breeding tank.
