I've lurked here off and on for awhile. Figured I'd join officially and say hello.

I currently have two four-line catfish, a L18 and a Albino Chocolate? pl*co. All residing in my 150 gallon tank.

Welcome to PlanetCatfish.

Do you know exactly which catfish you have, common names can be very misleading. Are your 'four-line catfish' or are they completely different? L18 is fairly self explanatory except if it's or Chocolate pl*co could be almost anything, seeing as basically all pl*cos are brown in colouration for the most part. In the Cat-eLog 'Chocolate pl*co' came up with - is this what you have?
Edit: IDing albinos is always difficult as the only way is from body shape. :( But there aren't many commonly found albino pl*cos, so it's probably a BN. :)

I think the "Albino choc pleco" is in albino form. The picture of it isn't a very good one. There's also an albino form of P. gibbiceps for example, and yes, they are hard to identify - knowing who the parents are would perhaps also help.

They are definitely Pimelodus blochii, the L18 was sold to me by someone who's ID I trust, and god only knows what the albino chocolate is. I'll try and get some pics up ASAP for you.

Also pics of the whole tank tend to be quite popular on this site. :D
