movement inside egg (pic)

Thought this photo might be of interest. It shows a C. Paleatus larva moving around inside the egg. (Top one) and three other larvae in various orientations.
It is an animated gif composed from two still shots, taken a few seconds apart. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the larva was moving until much later, by which time I'd moved the tripod.
There was no happy ending for these eggs. The plant pruning which revealed them to me also revealed them to the parents, who promptly ate them.
Probably just as well. For the last several months, new juveniles have been appearing "uninvited". On average two per month.
I'm always delighted to see the new arrivals, but I can also see a population crisis in the making.
