i got your pm, and i tried to send you a reply, but it kept not sending it with a message that i needed to fill in the recipient box. every time i tried, it would delete the recipient i entered and give me the same message

i would be happy to help you try to figure out why i cant upload a photo to my aquaria. id also really like to know how to register my pl*cos. i have a gibbiceps and an L-239. i have bunch of c*ries and some otos and a "chinese algae eater" as well. im wondering if you are having a mac compatability issue? the my aquaria thing doesnt work either in safari or firefox.

any suggestions?

No problem with Macs. Mine works fine with the new iMac and Safari (Version 3.1.2 (5525.20.1)).

No worries with the pm, it's a common issue that is actually just that the thing isn't so easy to understand. You have to put the username you are sending the pm to into the recipient box THEN click the "add" button to add this recipient.

It's not a compatibility thing, its tested on MSIE, firefox and safari. It will likely be an issue with the image file itself and what I'd like to do is amend the page to give more helpful advice on what the problem is. Could you try again and note any error messages that are displayed? Also, it might also help if you post the image you are trying to upload as an attachment to a post in this topic as well so I can check it out (or email it to me direct - my email address link is at the side of this post.

To add species to your lists, go to that species' page in the catelog and click on the "add this species to my cats" link.

i figured out what i was doing wrong. my photos tend to be high res (good cameras and i use my photos for some graphics stuff as well as prints for home) so the file size was huge.

*duh*

It should however tell you that and stop the upload. What size were the files?

It will display an error now if the file is too big.
