Japanese catfish stocklist

Found this - very interesting stocklist and gorgeus catfishes.The most peculiar and colourful catfishes goes to Japan.
below are few catfishes they do have at the moment.

The Black Synodontis sp is Synodontis schall as in the Cat-eLog.
same piccy just reversed. :)

The Clarias is C. nieuhofii.

any chance the platydoras is a platydoras armatulus?

was looking through burgess's atlas today and saw them in there.

The acanthadoras may just be a juvenile coloration of the interesting, but not amazing coloration on a normal A. cataphractus.

No, I don't think it's P. armatulus. If you look at the shape of the humeral process and compare it to the pics in the Cat-eLog, you will see that they are not the same shape.
The ones in the Japanese website are long and slender like that of P. costatus.

ok... another one I ran across was Clariua angolensis, seemed that the coloration was very similar to that of the clarius they had posted

The color pattern you see in the Clarias is the standard Clarias color pattern, which occurs in about 80% of the species. From the shape of the body and the fact that it comes from Asia (I think they are calling it a Siamese eel catfish), I'd say it's C. nieuhofii.
