Anyone ever been bitten by a syno?

My S. longirostris gave me a quite healthy nip when I was working on its tank the other day. It didn't break the skin, but it hurt and left a red mark.
I don't think it was aggression. The syno eats from my fingers, and when they didn't have food, it tried to eat a finger.
Has anybody had an experience like this?

No, but my Chiloglanis suck on my hand and forearm frequently at feeding time.

Has it ever happened? I happens every time I stick my hand into the darn tank. When I pull my arm out, it's usually bright red. The male polli's bites hurt the most, but dhonti's chompers also pack a punch. They also attempt to take chunks out of the Python and algae scraper.

P.S. Not only the Synos suck on my fingers.
Here is a very prominent shot of my finger being chewed on by a
Schizolecis guentheri

That sounds a bit like the dreaded L161 pleco clamp.

My Synos run a mile when I go in the tank, but my L191 holds on like a leach.
PS: nice piccy Rusty

Nah, more like the dead skin cells.

In this case it's because the pleco gets so manically excited by the arrival of cucumber that it can't wait for it to be positioned.
