Since I wasn't able to go to work today, I thought I'd take some pictures of the girls playing in our record snow. The old record was 13 inches in 24 hours and yesterday we got 17 inches. It's STILL snowing and we're well over 22 inches of snow on the porch so far. I thought I left Alaska for pete sake.

Weeee! I love playing in the snow!

Those are my yard ornaments. The big one is like 5' tall! It actually snowed enough more that the smallest one was a glowing lump when I plugged in the christmas lights.

Luckily the dogs love the snow or it would be a completely wasted day around here ;).

Damn that looks like fun. But did you go out and join them?

Caine Corso methinks (yes, I am testing my knowledge of dog breeds). Barbie, am I correct?

They are Mastiffs (otherwise known as English Mastiffs), just ones with their face all wrinkled up with playing, hehe. Here's Cali without the snow fun ;).

I guess that gives you a better perspective for just how much snow it is, knowing how big they are!

It snowed 3 more inches over night. I think I've shoveled more snow than I was built to, let me tell you.

Mastiffs are very nice too :)

the first picture really got me thinking you were the owner of two Presa canario's, that would make me a very jealous man!

he/she looks very cute in the last picture :D

I love dogs, and I've owned some really good dogs over the years, but these two are just fantastic. I doubt I'll ever own another breed, unless they start to break me, instead of just banging me up here and there, hehe.

I took them out in the snow and let them chase the laser pointer last night. It slows them down enough that crashes aren't such a huge issue and a fantastic time was had by all. I laughed until I cried. I never realized snow was good for anything, hehe.

I would have never thought that would work on dogs as well...that is funny

Well they won't climb walls and what not like a cat would, but they bury their little faces in the snow trying to grab it and they run around like their life depends on it. It's a blast!

They're calling for up to another foot of snow on Sunday now. Would someone just shoot me now and get it over with? Pretty please?

Beautiful girls, Barbie! BTW, we are getting a lot of that snow, too. Amazing. It's beautiful until it's time to dig out.
