My brochis are spawning! [Edit] AGAIN!!!

OMG OMG What do I dooooo? (heh)
Woke up this evening, and did my rounds on my 4 tanks, and noticed there were some sort of weird spots all over one side of my brand spanking new 90 gallon tank. I look closer, and see that these are large(comparatively) single eggs. . .
I'm fairly sure they are from the 5 brochis in the tank, but I also have 4 julii, and 4 sterbies. Also in the tank are 9 small juvanile Praecox rainbows, and 7 small juvanile boesmani/axelrodi/austrailian rainbows, 8 pygmatus cories, 1 large female otto, 2 baby ottos, and The Thing that Lurks (and yearns for brains), my zombie pleco.
I would love to raise the fry, but I'm doubtful I'd be able to do so in an active community tank, even one as large as mine with as many hiding spots as this has. Any advice?

Collect them in a breeding net, and you should be able to bring them to "movable size" and then move them to a dedicated nursery tank (10g or so).

Describe a spawning net to me. I'm not sure I've seen such a thing in my LFS.

It's a simple frame with net similar to the nets what you catch the fishes from the tank with, but making sort of a "aquarium that lets water through" or a "keepnet in miniature" if that makes more sense.
There are also plastic variants that is more of a "box with a few small holes".
I'd also get an airstone going in the baby basket to keep the water "moving".

Ahh, ok. I think that PetZoo sells them. With any luck. . . But first I'll get a good eye on them to make sure they're fertile.

Hello,
I've just have 2 lucky Brochis splendens spawnings in my tanks... Except a normal activity right after the water changes, and a very big temperature falling, I have done nothing special to stimulate them...
As I didn't notice the spawning, I could only be able to see the 2 juveniles fry after maybe 4-6 weeks... First time it was in a 160 liters for Chaetostoma (22°C and a lot of rocks covered with algae), the second time in a 720 liters, full planted with Echinodorus and Sagittaria (28°C and a lot of vegetal food)
I wonder if i had laid pictures here... let me look for it... I'm right back
yes, here's a picture of the fisrt collected fry :
and here's the link :

good luck with those little guys...

Thanks! Atm, I think my Brochis are my favorite "corys", as they fit my rainbowfish tank so well. They're bright green, with VERY long barbles, and seem quite pleased with the change.

Whelp, maternity is no longer in question, as I currently have a Brochis swimming around my tank with half a dozen eggs clutched in her fins. Zerry interesting!
