hi all how do you get bronze cory to breed? and wat age/size do they breed from

Obviously, getting them to breeding size is the first step - I'm not sure exactly what size they need to be to breed, but generally almost all catfish can breed somewhere around half to two-thirds of "max size" - really big species (I mean those that grow to 3ft/1m or more) may even breed before half of full size.

Having at least one female and one male is also crucial, again for obvious reasons. Ideally is a trio, two male and one female.

Beyond that you need:

1. Getting the fish into breeding condition - this means good food.
2. Trigger the breeding - simulates the normal breeding conditions in nature - cold water changes is one commonly used technique that works on many cory species. Dropping the overall temperature of the tank by about 2-3'C (around 5'F). Harder to breed species may require a bit of softer water to "realize" that it's breeding time.
3. Collect and raise any eggs/fry - many cory species will eat eggs and/or fry. I use a net-basket made for this purpose and a small air-stone with gentle bubbles to make sure the water in the basket isn't going stagnant.

Note: I am by far not the world-record breeder of corys, but C. aeneus shouldn't be too hard to breed in general.
