I have 4 cory's in my 20 gallon tank. 2 Albinos and 2 green. 1 of the albinos has an enlarged belly and its darker in color. Could she be pregnent? And how should i prepare for this so they dont become snacks for my baby convict pair?

Thanks

Corys are not pregnent, they lay eggs, like almost all fish

These eggs will have a great risk of being eaten, the Corys themselves might actually do the eating, although the convicts would not mind a snack

the only solutioon to this is taking the eggs out, as was described in a sticky in the cory subforum. Personally I think my wild caught C paleatus have had many eggs, but I only found them once. These produced fry which is now approx 15 mm

my peppered cories were in their own tank and continually spawned and laid eggs all over, no fry ever seen. They ate the eggs I am sure.

Thanks for the info. Im gonna keep an eye on her and try to get the eggs hatched if i can catch them in time. Other wise no biggie. It looks like i might have to get them out of the tank soo anyway since my convicts look like they are beginning mating rituals.
