Hello! Everyone :)
I just wonder so very much. I have been maintained aquarium fish for a little while, and I used to remember that whenever I went to every pet stores all around USA even sometimes out of USA. Whenever I saw any ALBINO fish, I was so surprised very much because it wasn't easy to find any ALBINO fish at that time, NOT EVEN 10 years ago. But, I just went to a couple local pet stores in my city, and I was so surprised very much. They had so many ALBINO fish almost every tanks at those pet stores. Some ALBINO fish I was so extremely surprised how they can do that, so after I left the store, I've really wondered how those fish've become ALBINO fish so easily. Can someone help? I really wonder very much. ARE SOME BREEDERS USED ANY MEDICINES OR ANY CHEMICAL PRODUCTS TO MAKE FISH BECOME ALBINO? WHAT KIND OF CHEMICAL PRODUCTS THAT THEY USED TO THE FISH. I think that all ALBINO FISH that I saw they should not breed from the natural because they are too many species. Are those Chemical Products dangerous to the fish and human when used? Can someone help? It will greated appreciated. :(

Best Regards;
Bunthid or Max :)

They are not given any chemicals.

Albinism is a fairly common genetic disease; among humans over one percent of the population are carriers (have a single copy of the recessive allele), and 1 out of every 20 000 is an albino (have two copies of the same recessive allele).

I don't know the figures for any species of fish, but it's presumably in the same ballpark, and as professional breeders produce millions of fish each year, a number of the fish will be albinos. It's then simply a question of breeding on those fish to get an all-albino strain.
