Disappearing Catfish

We live on a lake (man-made) in South Florida. This lake used to be filled with catfish (I'm not sure what species). We would feed them catfish food and they would come up by the hundreds. We then had a cold front come through. We now haven't seen one catfish. We still put the food out there every evening. Are catfish effected by cooler water? What else could cause the catfish to vanish? The lake also has different variety of Bass.
Thanks for your help
Beth

I would imagine the cold weather has made the catfish less active. Wait for it to warm up again.

If you haven't seen any dead ones wash up on shore, they are probably still alive.

In colder weather the metabolism has slowed & they won't be keen to feed - wait till it warms & i'm sure they'll be back :D
