The final English exams of my fourth graders had a nice surprise. And I can guarantee you that they know what a catfish is

They should but you can check it without zapping yourself. Just plug in something with a heavy start or heavy load like a vacuum or an iron on high. The very sensitive ones pop when there's any change in the current.Hopefully those residual current circuit breaker things would catch it..
Marc:A GFCI monitors the amount of current flowing from hot to neutral. If there is any imbalance, it trips the circuit. It is able to sense a mismatch as small as 4 or 5 milliamps, and it can react as quickly as one-thirtieth of a second.

Actually, some thought I was responsible for the question. But this is a so called Central Exam (nation wide, so every fourth grader of this school type in the Netherlands has to do it) and I had nothing to do with it - alasL number Banana wrote:After reading that, the kids must think you're very brave to have such rowdy fish!
