I've got a 40 cm irwini (uoran ... )
which is always hiding ...
whats a good way to lure him out ?

he only shows himself (and only his head)
when there is food ...
Was thinking of removing his hiding place but, if i was a fish, i wouldn't like it ;)

The trick is to create a "hiding place" where the fish feels comfortable but is clearly 'on show',however we must always remember that the fishes instinct is to hide - it is what it does naturally. trying to overcome this so the keeper can view his fish, is generally not the best thing for the fish.

Another way to see it is to have a completely massive tank where the sheer volume gives the fish the feeling of security - sadly this is hard to achieve as we're talking about a tank the size of a small house!
