I'm a brown/gold spotted cory!

I found this guy (gal?) yesterday at the pet store, the only one of his kind in a tank with about a dozen aneaus... I asked the person who worked there if he knew what species this was, and he said, "I don't know... it's some kind of cory cat. You can have it for $5.99."

I combed trough the Cat-eLog a few times, but none of the other cories seem to look quite the same to me. However, I don't really know what and how much of a difference among individuals in a species is normal, but I bet you brilliant folks can identify him for me. :)

I can get better pictures if need be-- he's afraid of the camera (and anything else that comes near the tank!) so these aren't the greatest, considering he was in an old betta bowl for a photo-shoot. I couldn't get a good shot, but his belly is white- no spots or anything.

Thanks a million! :)

Hi KTLM,
Exact same thing happened to me yesterday with the same fish! That gives me hope that if I look hard enough, I may find her/him a few friends.
Cheers

Aww, congrats! I'm hoping for the same thing. They're really beautiful fish. Mine seems to be awfully shy-- while my other cories are buzzing around the bottom of the tank doing cory things, she hides in one of the logs and looks menacing. I already adore her. :D

Anyway, good luck!
