Three day trivia tournament

It's a charity fundraiser, held in the first week of every July at our institute. There's thirty-two teams of four, who get eliminated one by one until there's a winner. The team I'm on starts Wednesday at 1:30 P.M.
My area of expertise is the part where you have to answer as many questions as possible in one minute, trying to answer each one before it's finished being asked, so as to get to the next one as fast as possible.
Wish us good luck! We don't expect to win it, we just want to do better than last year.

Uh, I don't really wanna talk about it...okay, okay, if you must know, we got eliminated in the first round. We were actually better than the team that beat us, but we choked on something called 5-4-3-2-1 and missed a lot of points.

Well, we got knocked out again this year but we put up a good fight.
Worst moment for me was missing a question about John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath that I should have got.
We did well in the lightning round. I made two wild guesses that turned out to be right, that Loyola University was in Chicago, and the 1900 World's Fair in Paris.
Best moment for me was when I got a football songs question that our football expert didn't know! (Fog on the Tyne, by Lindisfarne).
So a bit of a mixed bag this year, but wait till next time.

Congrats anyways, I'm sure it was a blast.
And be thankful that I wasn't on your team, I would have gotten the Paris one but
not a chance on the others
Hope the charity came out the overall winner
