Maybe just found a bug with Poll
on this page:
http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/synonyms.php it says "Chiloglanis micropogon Poll,1952"
But when I click on it, the species page says "Boulenger, 1904 "

Not a bug - It's just been accepted [1] that Poll's "new species" is in fact the same species as the original description 48 years earlier by Boulenger. So basically, Poll describes a fish in 1952. Someone else looks at the species, and compares it with the Boulenger species, and says "But there is not enough difference to have two species here". The rule in such cases is that the oldest name is the one to be used [there have been exceptions I think, where an older name is not observed, because a newer name is much more prevalent - someone found an old description that wasn't widely circulated that predates the "previously known first description"].
[1] By Planet Catfish at the very least, but Marc that does the Synonym updates don't usually just make it up, he follows for example Catalog of fishes.

Thanks MatsP,
That could get rather challenging for the people who have to track/update all that stuff, wow.

I just thought it was a cut & paste sort of error, not someone making something up. And Marc would definitely not just wing it

he seems like a very precise sort of person.
