I was looking at this catfish online, and the person selling has no idea what it is, and neither do I. Any ideas?

It looks like a Rhineloricaria sp. however, this genus alone does contain over 50 differnt species, and I'm not even certain about the genus, as I don't know about related genera I never saw
In any case, it is a bottom dwelling Loricarid, not an algae eater

Looks a
to me too.
These are pretty tricky to ID, but by far and away the most common one in the shops is
out of Colombia.
I would go with that.

They do eat a algae actually, but not with the same gusto that an
Ancistrus would for example.
