Bagarius or Glyptothorax?

I'm considering this fish, but I'm not sure if it's a Bagarius or a Glyptothorax. I'm looking for Bagarius fry. Granted, this is a stock picture of what's supposed to be B. yarrelli, maybe not what's in the tank. I've asked for pics of the actual fish to see what they are, I'll post them when I get them. They claim to have 15, which is more than I've heard of at any other place with a Bagarius. Here's hoping...

This looks like Glyptothorax to me
Edit: based on the eye being too far forward on the head & not having pointed caudal lobes...

100% not Bagarius in the photo. If the price is high I would ask for a photo of the actual sp in stock. If the price is low, you can just role the dice as you are sure to end up with some sp of nice sisorid.

It's $7.50. Should that have been my first indication that this probably wasn't a true Bagarius?

I don't think price is a good indication here - both Bagarius and Glyptothorax are "specialist" fish - they aren't mainstream, so they are priced according to the size (shipping cost) more than anything else.

At that price I would order several given the low number of sisorids available in the hobby. But then again I would be happy with whatever they turned out to be.

Too right Shane
I'd still like to see a pic of the ACTUAL fish though as some Glypto's are extremely nice indeed, even though all of 'em are great fish
