Hello to you all!

Hi there, I'm a newbie to cats but just purchased a L142 plec for my community set up from pier aquatics and i think I might be hooked already. This fish has tons of personality

The only issue is that the other fish(particularly my angels) think the white spots covering the fish are food!? As a result the plec gets very little peace and quiet when it's out in the open

. Is this a common occurence?? Will the other fish just get used to the newcomer in time?
Cheers Matt

Hi MattP welcome to the site.
This does happen at times and will get better as time goes on don't think they can cause much damage more irritating for it.You probably need to provide more hiding places around the tank to help it out.
Quote from Cat-eLog. Plenty of hiding places are the order of the day. Rounded river stones and bogwood branches will made this fish feel at home.
Hope this helps Jerry

Welcome to the site, I agree, more hiding places and also try introducing (sinking) food at both left and right ends of the aquarium at the same time when feeding.
