New guy from California
Posted: 27 Sep 2009, 18:50
Greetings,
I posted basically the identical intro over at Zebrapleco.com This is also a recent find for me as websites go.
Anyways, new guy here. Just recently found this place. FYI, I'm a Southern Cali breeder.
I'm a long time fish breeder, Angelfish, Discus, African Cichlids, various catfishes, Killifishes etc. Bred a number of odd balls over the years, like Redtail Black Sharks, Monodactylus Sebae and a few others.
I'm also into Poison Dart frogs and reptiles.
I won't go into my personal beliefs on captive breeding in detail here, but I fully support doing whatever it takes to preserve species that might otherwise disappear forever. I think it is better to have viable captive bred colonies available for re-population than to ultimately lose the battle to hydro-electric projects and deforestation, having done nothing but written a check to PeTA or WWF, or carrying the occasional picket sign.
I'm looking forward to participating here!
