Hello.

Greetings from Australia. I live in the area west of Brisbane. I currently have wild caught discus and a few sailfin plecos, - workers.

I've had them all for about 12 - 18 months now and they live in a series of five tanks linked together, filtered by three cannisters with eight foam filters, total volume of water is 1200 litres. I do a water change, from 200 - 500ltrs per week depending on the nitrate levels on the day.

I'm interested in L numbers as tank mates for my discus tanks. Yeah, I know about otto's.

I look forward to reading and learning more about your hobbies.

Regards

Mick

G'day , eh?
That's the Canadian version :)
Welcome to Planet Catfish!

I can't help with recommendations for L numbers - that was a newbie screen name, before I found out about all the other wonderful cats. I only have an L 401 that I just lucked out on and the sweet little clown pleco Panaque maccus which would be L104, L162, LDA22.

Maybe someone can give you a good recommendation if you describe the tank conditions and size? Nice set-up by the way  Which pleco is your Sailfin? This guy ---->? He can get pretty big. But as a bonus, it looks like he/she can take a wide range of temperature and ph so that's handy when looking for tank mates.

If you click on the name above it will take you to the species page that also shows other information about distribution etc. If you click on those locations, you get a list of other catfish that can be found where your sailfin comes from.

You're in luck with the discus too, several people on the forum are fans.

Cheers and enjoy!

G'day sport (how utterly stereotypical & crass!)

Anyway, welcome to Planet Catfish!
