Hello, I have had a zebra pleco prior, and it did very well. I have also had a synodontis eupterus (feather fin). In my new tank I was thinking about keeping a pair of synodontis angelicus and 1 or 2 zebra plecos. Would this work?

It might do, but it's not something i'd suggest at all. 2 is generally a bad number in syno keeping as one pretty much always will boss the other & Angelica has the nature as one of the more aggressive species. & if they took exception to the zebras, they could do some serious (& expensive) damage. I'd reccommend keeping zebras in a 'species' tank to give them a chance to breed.
Angelica ideally need a tank 4x2x2 as they get to about a foot long if they get real big.

I agree with Richard...both of these species are nice fish and expensive which each should deserve a tank specifically tailored to that species.

Thanks. I had just assumed that the angelicus were schooling fish, and might like a friend. But if a single one would be happy, then that's ok with me. Which type of decorative, mid-water, non-catfish fish do well with synodontis?

How big is your tank?

You can't go far wrong with congo tetras or yellow congos or alestes or any of the similar sized african tetras
