Hey all...

Im Kieran, 20, from Hull.
Dave (Hullfishman) told me about the site, so i thought i would sign up.
So far i only have the 1 plec... A bristle nose. He/she is in my 60l community tank along with 2 pearl gouramis and 7 neon tetras.

I got it at weekend, and hes currently just under an inch in size

Many questions to come

I was told on another forum i use that he looks stressed, but when i asked why, i got no reply.
Could some one tell me if he is stressed and why?

This is not unusual, it is small and in a new environment it will take a little time to settle in, as long as no other fish are bothering it.

Just to clarify, the colours in the photo are "stress colours". That means that the fish is "scared" or "defensive". But it's not necessarily meaning that the fish is stressed in general - just that it was at the very moment the photo was taken. These fish can change colour quite rapidly. And they are easy to keep and settles in quite quickly, in my experience.
