Cory Melini spinning

Hi All,
I recently picked up 7 Cory Melini along with about 20 Cory Hasbrosus. I placeboth in a quarentine tank, 20 gal long, pH 6.0 -6.5, 3-4 gH & 3-5 kH, Ammonia, Nitrate & Nitrite are at 0.0 ppm, water changes are at 25 % 2 times a week.
There is java moss, drift wood, rocks that vary in size from 3in to 6inches and sand substrate 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep. Filter is and ehiem 2228. Tank has been up for about 3 months. Since I just got them, I have feed flake foods, I usually wait a week or two before I feed live foods.

Everyone is doing fine, except for 2 C.Melini, they are swimmimg around listlessly, then floating to bottom, lying on their sides. Or spinning/spiraling also. I've lost one already and just hope there is some thing I can do. I would appreciate any & all help!!
Thanks,
Ed

Not quite sure what that may be, but generally "swimming problems" indicate either nerve or "mechanical" problems. In this case, I'd exect it to be "mechanical". Quite often, this is in turn from some form of swelling type problems with internal organs - most common cause is an internal infection. These can be very hard to cure if they are not caught early. There are some medications available for internal infections - as to what is best, I'm not quite sure - talk to your LFS.

The spinning is IME an indication of the health being at a point that is very seldom recoverable
