Hi!
Around here people are selling these under the name of Rineloricaria leopardus... but I really doubt it is a valid species...
Cheers

That must be a made-up scientific name. I couldn't find any reference to a loricariine with that name anywhere (in fact , the only loricariid with the name leopardus is Pseudacanthicus leopardus.

Hi,
IMO this is
Hemiloricaria (or
Rineloricaria if one does not recognize that genus)
lanceolata, a very variable and widely distributed species.
There is no "Rineloricaria leopardus" according to
Isbrücker 2002. Maybe its a recently described species i am not aware of, but i think like Heok Hee its just a name the dealer made up for selling reasons.

I would go for Hemiloricaria lanceolata on the dorsal fin alone.
