Otocinclus flexilis -> O. arnoldi.

Post by Mike_Noren »

Not sure if this is the right forum, if not perhaps a moderator can move the thread to wherever appropriate.

Lehmann et al have recently revised Otocinclus:
http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?pid=S16 ... xt&tlng=en
and as a result revalidated the species Otocinclus arnoldi, previously considered a synonym of O. flexilis.

Based on the description and localities I'd say my photos of O. flexilis as well as my article about O. flexilis really refer to what is now called O. arnoldi.

OK, shall have a look at the paper. This is the right forum and it's really helpful to have that brought to my attention.

Cheers,
