Back on july 8 I posted that I had new guys .One turned out to be a Weather Loach .
This is the crazziest fish I have ever seen .One time you look at it and it looks dead and the next it is racing around the tank like a torpedo .Now it has taken up slithering up on top of a log in the tank ,completly out of the water .It will lay there for five min or so and then go for a swim.
It sure keeps the tank interesting.between him and the three hoplos my tank is a tizzy of activity.
How can something so simple be so relaxing .

It is probably up there scouting out how to escape :) ...make sure the top is sealed off or it may go exploring even further.

Interesting tidbit. Are these known to behave like mudskippers??

Can you make a couple photos in and out of the water?

Birger was right again the loach went walkabout last nite during a thunder storm .
Yesterday the air temp was 101 deg. and the tank temp was 94deg. I installed an air bar for more o2 and floated ice packs to lower the water temp .I got the tank temp to 88 deg. and had installed the new plexiglass cover the only exposed area was at the filter
.found it on the floor this morn
I am going to put screen over that opening and try again with a couple of loaches.
