The new place looks real nice .Lots of places for ponds and fishing holes.
I bet that when the rainy season finaly comes you can grow some wopper mosquitos
. Some folks call them fish food.

What fish are you keeping or maybe breeding in those little round ponds or in the heart shapped pond? Small ponds work great for breeding small aquarium fish even catfish. I wouldn't put any in with the koi as they would be a quick snack for them.

I wish I had a bigger yard or was in the suburbs so I could do more ponds and things like that.

??? what do you mean? What new place? These are the pics of our old place in Rochester, NY - this whole thread is about it. It is for sale now.

If you are talking about our new house in Naples FL, then, so far, the moskitos are very small, black in color, and very thirsty :)

Just small goldfish to knit-pick mosquito larvae. These are all lily ponds.

Depends on their sizes. Channels and bullheads are not nearly as predatory as TSNs and RTCs. They are clearly more scavengers. But under right(read wrong) circumstances, they turn into hunters. In my 12,000 gal koi pond, I released two 2' channels for one season. They ate about $500 worth of 3"-6" koi.

Earlier photos of the koi pond and yard predating this thread, from 2008 and 2009, can be seen here on the second page of this thread: http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... 3&start=20

I'll just repeat them here:
