Thank you, Silurus! I think you are right about both this guy and the amelanistic version.

Strangely, there is so little info in CateLog. No size, no husbandry.

Part of the lack of information is that it's recently been split from O. bimaculatus.

I have a vague memory that I at one time promised to actually move the data from O. bimaculatus - I'll have a look to see what we decided to do. Certainly have a look at - it is fairly similar in most ways, as far as I understand.

Thanx Mats!

This is a confusing passage in ID section:
The fish often recognized as O. bimaculatus (and most commonly encountered in the aquarium trade) is a Southeast Asian species ...(VJ: O. siluroides??) ... which has a rounder head and a mottled brown colouration, while O. bimaculatus are silvery and have a sharper head.

I have fixed that section, so it now is (hopefully) clearer. Just pending Jools approval of the changes [he just has to check that we're not deleting something important by accident or some such!].

After two years and some months, I got to see this fish again (http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/view ... =4&t=36786). Would appreciate the ID confirmation.

About 10" TL now.

It hasn't morphed into another species AFAIK.
