what are some suitable tankmates for a black lancer in a southeast asian theme/biotope tank? i've read everything i can about lancers, mostly on this site and fishbase, is there anything else i should know about keeping them? what size tank would be best for a lancer biotope?
thanks.

They are actually large river fish, and best kept with other fishes inhabiting large rivers. Suitable tankmates include a school of larger rasboras (something like R. cephalotaenia or R. dusonensis), other mid-sized to large cyprinids (something like Osteochilus or Labeobarbus), halfbeaks, glass cats, larger spiny eels, and clown loaches.
For an appropriate large-river biotope (and to provide enough swimming room), I'd recommend a tank of at least 110 gallons.

http://www.scotcat.com/factsheets/b_macracanthus.htm Have you seen this? It probably repeats what you have already read.
